What is the best way to travel from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan?

Travelers can take a flight to Koh Samui and then catch a 30-minute ferry ride to Koh Phangan or fly to Suratthani and use a bus/van and ferry combination to reach Koh Phangan. Can an additional bed be added to my accommodation for my child?
